Policies

All customers must fill out the release form prior to their appointment. The release form must be printed and brought to the appointment or emailed to The Dog's Grooming Barn. Please complete the form in its entirety. 

Vaccines

Every pet must be up to date on their rabies and distemper vaccines. Bordetella is highly recommended but not required. We will not accept a pet unless we have documentation proving their vaccine status. Please email the vaccine documentation to The Dog's Grooming Barn prior to your pet's appointment.

Cancellation Policy

 

We require notification of any cancellation at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. No-shows and last-minute cancellations may result in prepayment being required for any future visit. We understand that emergency situations arise and will work with you on a case-by-case (but not on a patterned) basis. Please be respectful of our groomer’s time as we are a by appointment business and another client could have taken your appointment had we known. If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, it is considered a no-show, and you risk losing your appointment without notice due to groomer time constraints. A cancellation/no-show fee will be applied at the discretion of The Dog’s Grooming Barn. Cancellations within 24 hours before the appointment are subject to pay half the cost of the appointment. No-shows are charged at the full cost of the appointment.

Pickup Time

The groomer will give advance notice when your dog will be ready for pickup. You are responsible for picking up your dog on time unless a previous arrangement has been made with the groomer. If you are more than twenty minutes late to pick up your pet, a fee of $10.00 will be added to the groom cost. Another fee of $5.00 will be added for every ten additional minutes you are late. Tardy pickup times can prevent The Dog’s Grooming Barn from providing quality care to the appointment after you.
